Recognized as a leader, Hamilton is committed to maximizing achievement for all students. The district’s performance on the most recent Wisconsin School Report Card once again was among the highest in the state and was the highest in Waukesha County. Hamilton ranked 10th among Wisconsin’s 367 K-12 school districts and was one of only 36 districts to earn the top designation of “significantly exceeds” expectation for academic performance. In comparison to school’s districts throughout Wisconsin, Hamilton tied for the third highest mathematics score, was fifth highest in English-language arts and had the fourth highest overall student achievement score.
Located west of Milwaukee in northern Waukesha County, the Hamilton School District covers about 35 square miles, has more than 30,000 residents and serves 4,735 students. The district serves six municipalities — the villages of Sussex, Menomonee Falls, Lannon and Butler, the town of Lisbon and the city of Pewaukee.
